Code of Practice

The ARM Code of Practice requires that an ARM employee, officer or volunteer must:

  • behave honestly and with integrity in the course of ARM employment and volunteer work;

  • act with care and diligence in the course of ARM employment and volunteer work;

  • when acting in the course of ARM employment and volunteer work, treat everyone with respect and courtesy, and without harassment;

  • when acting in the course of ARM employment and volunteer work, not discriminate against any person, population group or organisation protected by applicable law, including but not race, colour, religion, sex, gender expression, physical appearance, language, education background, age, disability, and veteran status;

  • when acting in the course of ARM employment and volunteer work, comply with all applicable Australian laws;

  • disclose, and take reasonable steps to avoid, any conflict of interest (real or apparent) in connection with ARM employment or volunteer work;

  • use ARM resources in a proper manner;

  • not provide false or misleading information in response to a request for information that is made for official purposes in connection with the employee's/volunteer’s ARM work;

  • keep ARM and client matters confidential

  • at all times behave in a way that upholds the ARM Values and the integrity and good reputation of the ARM;

  • be aware of occupational health and safety practices; and

  • comply with any other conduct requirement that is prescribed by the ARM Privacy Policy.
