We're inviting Members of the Australian Republic Movement to the first of three online events, each designed to encourage an important national conversation about an Australian republic.
In 2021, Barbados made history, officially becoming a republic. But how did they get there? What strategies were key to their success, and how did they unite their people behind the vision of a republic?
Members will join us with special guest Chereda Grannum, a member of the Republican Status Transition Advisory Committee, as she shares the behind-the-scenes story of Barbados’ journey.
Hosted by Co-Chair Esther Anatolitis and Youth Convenor Yasmin Poole, this is an exciting opportunity to learn directly from Barbados’ experience and explore how we can apply these lessons to make an Australian republic happen.
This event will be held at 10am AEDT on Tuesday 4 February.
This is a Members only event. For those signed up, please check your email for the link to join, alternatively, email us at info@republic.org.au to RSVP.
