2025 marks 50 years since Australia’s most significant constitutional crisis: the dismissal of the Whitlam Government. The event revealed significant weaknesses and flaws in the Australian Constitution and the conventions by which it operates, as well as new faultlines in our relationship with the monarchy—much of which have yet to be revealed to the Australian public.
In the second of this year’s exclusive Members’ events, join former ARM National Committee Member Professor Jenny Hocking in conversation with ARM Co-Chair Esther Anatolitis, and let’s discuss what this year’s milestone means for the future Australian republic.
This event will be held on Zoom webinar at 6pm AEDT on Tuesday 4 March and is open to all Australian Republic Movement Members with an opportunity for questions.
